You long for a space where you can “let your hair down” and completely be yourself. You want community and inspiration and the opportunity to practice what you preach and teach with clients. In the on-line support groups I offer through the Art and Play Haven I provide a space where you can feel safe to share your struggles and not always have your act together. You will find a community of other therapists who understand the difficulties of your work. You will experience encouragement knowing you are not alone. Reading makes me happy though I was a very slow reader until I finished graduate school. I enjoy floral gardening and watching movies. Travel to new places is my jam. I have been married for almost 30 years. I have 2 children, one a college graduate and one a sophomore in college. I have lived in Iowa, Utah, Indiana, Kentucky, and 4 places in Texas. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor in the state of Kentucky. I am a Certified Child-Centered Play Therapist and a Certified Child-Parent Relationship Therapist through the Center for Play Therapy at the University of North Texas. I served as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Association for Play Therapy and President of Kentucky Association for Play Therapy.
